There’s Something Stirring Across the Church in Aotearoa
More and more of us are seeing the hurt in our communities and quietly asking:
“Surely we can do more?”
We see it every day.
Families doing it hard. Young people struggling with identity, anxiety, loneliness and not feeling enough. Violence in homes. Poverty. Addiction. Whānau carrying grief, trauma, and pain.
These aren’t just headlines.
These are our neighbours. Our communities. People we know and love.
And maybe now, more than ever, this is the time for the Church to come together in heart, humility, and action.
As One NZ is simply an invitation.
An invitation for churches across Aotearoa to stand together, believe together, and move together.
To believe that Jesus still changes lives.
That healing is possible.
That people matter.
And that together, we can make a difference — one street, one whānau, one community at a time.
This isn’t about building platforms.
It’s about people.
And maybe the most powerful thing we can do right now is simply show up — together.

Lynette Reed
Lynette serves as CEO of Hybridges and, together with her husband Pastor Richard Reed, as Senior Pastors of Aukilani Community Church in Avondale. Her passion is to see people and communities flourish through their God inspired gifts, innovation and faith in action. Through her leadership, Lynette continues to build bridges across corporate sectors and intergenerational connections, advancing opportunities for transformation and shared hope across Aotearoa.
Richard Thomas
Richard is the Managing Director of Thomas Consultants and has also serves as a pastor for over thirty years. He carries an authentic message of grace and life through Christ. Richard is an ordained minister with the AGNZ who serves as Associate Pastor at Our City Church, Auckland. He was involved in As One in West Auckland earlier and saw the positive benefit of churches collaborating together in prayer, worship and the power of a combined witness. Richard is enthusiastic to see a citywide event.
Sarita Hanif
Sarita is the COO, Christian Savings
At Christian Savings, everything we do works towards seeing the Kingdom of God flourish in New Zealand. We are excited to be part of this journey towards unity, reconciliation and sharing the gospel throughout Aotearoa. In addition to being part of the team at Christian Savings, Sarita also attends Life Church in Mt Eden.
